The Challenge
Since I had no prior knowledge of forex trading, understanding how it works was my first major challenge. I spent time learning basic trading terms, user goals, and dashboard functions to ensure my design was both accurate and user-friendly.
Other key challenges were:
Data Overload – Presenting real-time charts, prices, and currency pairs in a clean and readable way.
Building Trust – Designing an interface that feels secure and reliable for financial activity.
Responsive Design – Ensuring the dashboard works well on all screen sizes without losing clarity or usability.
Process
We started the project by learning how users interact with trading platforms. Since I was new to the domain, I took support from my seniors and did my own research to understand forex basics, user behavior, and trading goals. The aim was to design a clean, easy-to-use dashboard for both beginners and experienced traders.
Researched trading basics with help from seniors
Identified pain points in existing forex dashboards
Sketched ideas to simplify complex data
